Transcript From A Victim of Intellectualization & The Wisdom of The Heart
The Pull Of The Ancient Brain:
It seems that not a day goes by … Hey, it's Josh from Wellness Force, and this is a special solocast. It seems that not a moment goes by in the mainstream media that is projecting people into fear. I know you feel this. If you yourself have felt the pull of the ancient brain, the amygdala, that has literally pulled you into fear, this solocast is for you and this solocast is for anyone who has become what I believe is a victim of intellectualization.
How many of us have searched the world going from book, to PDF, to podcast, to lecture, to lesson, to curriculum, to certificate, to doctorate, to training, to workshop only to feel incomplete? Because all of these modalities, all of these training platforms, learning platforms, they all do their very best, but they're all missing one very important key, and that is access to the heart. Yes, we know that sometimes for many of us, most of the time in this modern world, that the largest space is between the head and the heart. So with good intentions, so many people fall into the great trap, the great trap of the 3D world of the modern world, and that trap is to intellectualize our healing and to intellectualize our being.
Love Is All Around (1:27):
Now, look, I'm not here to say that the mind or being an intellectual is wrong. Actually, intellectualizing and using the mind to discover and learn and be curious is a beautiful vehicle for discovery, but it is only a vehicle and a vehicle cannot run without gas, without fuel, and I believe that the fuel of the mind is the heart. The fuel of the mind for a whole and complete embodied human is the heart. So how do we escape the clutches and the traps of being a victim of intellectualization, especially right now with people being in fear about vaccines and mask-wearing and all these things? We take a breath and we escape it by letting go. We let go of having to repeat phrases we've heard like, “Love won't pay the rent” or “You're just a hippie sitting around a fire, talking about how love is all there is,” but the most beautiful and the most polarizing thing is that love is all there is.
So when the rent is due, that's love. When your bills are being paid, that's love. When you're seated before the beauty of a majestic tree with the sunlight kissing your shoulders, that's love. Because nothing on planet earth is not love. Therefore, all is love and all is God. So God is love and God cannot be intellectualized. God can only be felt with the warmth of Mother supporting you as you lay on her earth; and the bright blue sky from Brother; that sweet, cool wind from Sister as Father Sun heats our hearts and warms our skin. These are not things that can be intellectualized. You cannot read these in a book. They can only be felt by the wisdom of the heart and so we begin the healing as a collective within myself and within anyone who is hearing this right now; that is, to recognize when you have been a victim of the intellectualized mind.
Take Emotional Inventory (3:20):
Now being a victim of intellectualization, it's very common. It's incredibly common because we've all been taught to disconnect from our hearts. Since birth, we've been taught to disconnect from our hearts and somehow our mind will find the right way for us. Our mind will make us successful. Our mind will make us the money. Our mind will get us the girl or the guy. Our mind will do it all. This is the absurdity and the foolishness modern society has taken upon itself, how we have chosen to forget who we are and disconnect from nature. So the healing begins by breathing, by taking an honest look at who we are and how we're living, then only can we reconnect to the wisdom of the heart.
So I challenge everyone here with us right now. Take stock. Take emotional inventory. When did you first realize that you disconnected from your heart? Did you learn it from your parents? Did you learn it from school? Were you bullied? Were you called fat? Were you called stupid? Were you made fun of just from being who you are, go to that place and love that being, love that girl, love that boy, that soul and begin to re-parent the heart inside of you to know that it is safe. This world is a safe place. This world is not totally dangerous. Your immune system is not something to be feared. This world is not 100% unsafe. Yes, there are certain laws that are mysterious and we honor the mystery because we are never ever 100% safe. To live is to be alive and to be alive is not always safe, but this world is a safe place.
Honoring Great Spirit & Mother (5:02):
So with the wisdom of the heart and honoring Great Spirit and Mother, this place is where we can find peace. These archetypes of Great Spirit and Mother Earth and Sky and Wind and Water and Fire, all these archetypes are here for us to connect to in a way that we choose, that serves us yet the universal law is that all is one brother, sister, father, mother, grandfather, wind, water, fire, earth. We are all part of this family. Now, this seems like a mystery to you if it's the first time you're hearing this. This is where you set up your tentative awareness. In the words of one of my guides from the Vision Quest, Mark, this is where you set up your tent: you set up your tent in the center of when the detonation and the destruction and the hurt and the tears and blood were spilled, where you may have been infected with the evil that tells you to disconnect from your heart.
This is the space where the zero point field begins to access the wisdom of your heart, and the wisdom of the heart has many voices. The wisdom of the heart has tears, laughter, singing, anger, sadness, despair. The wisdom of the heart has so many voices asking to be heard. But yet in our society we've been taught to ignore these voices. We've been taught to ignore the voices of the heart. We ignore our tears. We ignore our sadness. We push it down with another shot of tequila, swipe on Tinder, or a jerk off session to porn. We try to clamp down and not let our tears escape by another thousand dollar Nordstrom visit or a shopping spree on Amazon. All things that fill a hole with no bottom, because the true bottom of the hole is the wisdom of the heart, and the wisdom of the heart cannot be silenced. Therefore, its voice may come out sideways.
Transmuting Energy (6:54):
If you're angry, sad, resentful, and you do not have connection to your heart in order to sing or cry or scream or shake or express that anger, trust me, sadness or grief will come out sideways. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transmuted. This is why addiction exists. Addiction is the opposite of connection. Watch the podcast with myself and Mark Groves, I'll link it here in the show notes. Addiction is the opposite of connection. It is not something that just Gabor Mate has talked about; addiction is the opposite of connection, and by connection I mean connection to the wisdom of the heart because the wisdom of the heart knows no limitations, it knows no bounds. It knows no boundaries because love is all there is and God is love and the God inside of me, the God inside of you, inside of all of us, can we stop and can we ask for forgiveness? Can we cry to Great Spirit, “Thank you. Thank you for letting us be here on this earth and this body blessed by your warmth and cooled by the rain that falls from your sky, that bright blue sky that lights us, the sun that warms us, the ocean that cools us, the wind that cools our face on the top of a mountain after we hiked up sweaty, how that wind and rain can wash it away?” These are the things that are real.
Dollar bills and Bitcoin and fiduciary responsibilities and email lists and social media and how many followers do you have, those things aren't fucking real. What we do have in this modern world is a stack of perceived value, but it is not real because the deepest treasure and the greatest wealth on planet earth is the wellbeing inside of yourself. That wellbeing cannot be intellectualized, it can only be felt. It can only be felt with your shirtless back on Mother Earth as you breathe to feel her warmth, as she cradles you with her soil. That wisdom cannot be intellectualized; that wisdom can only be felt.
Wisdom of the Heart (9:58):
Today, make this the day where we all take one loving, inspired action to reconnect to the wisdom of the heart because I believe the antidote to intellectualization is the wisdom of the heart. The antidote to being a victim and being poisoned by the intellectualized mind is the wisdom of the heart. You can only access the wisdom of the heart through a felt emotional experience and experiential learning of reconnection to God and nature through breath and movement, conscious eating, conscious communication, loving interactions, singing, dancing, storytelling. These are things that God put us on earth to do and to be.
So let today be the day. Let today be the day that you let go and maybe you admit to yourself, maybe you can admit to yourself and to Great Spirit that you have been victimized and you were the oppressor yourself and you did the very best you could. You've gotten all the certificates, the degrees, the books, the podcasts, the trainings, the lectures; your library is full; you have all the social media trappings, but yet there's still not peace in your heart. It is from that place where you are authentically real with yourself, to know that peace only comes from your heart and there is power in that, and that power can be trusted.
Creating a Bridge of Inspired Action (10:25):
So go out today, feel the wisdom of your heart. Take stock in emotional inventory. With my clients for the Freedom Accelerator Mentorship, when they're on a path of repatterning their subconscious, the very first thing that I do with every client is I have them take what I call an emotional inventory. Draw a line down a piece of paper. On the left side write 10 things that you are caused the most pain by, like things that are really, really hurting you. Maybe it's health or wealth or relationships or trauma. Write them down. On the right side, write 10 things that you feel truly grateful for, like no BS, like things you really, really feel grateful for. Then this is the power: circle the one on the left that's causing you the most pain and circle the one on the right that you're most grateful for. Now, the bridge between knowing and doing is clear.
Once you have circled the thing that's causing you the most pain and you have circled the thing that's causing you the most gratitude, this is where you create that bridge of inspired action. You physically call someone. You post it in the Wellness Force group, wellnessforce.com/group. You reach out to a coach, to a facilitator that has experiential learning, and you share with them, “Hey, I took an inventory of where I am. I believe I'm a victim of intellectualization. I have been victimized by my own mind. I have allowed my mind to take over.” From that place, the authentically real place, you begin to find peace, and there is power in that. There is power that can be trusted. When from peace, from humility, you are honest with yourself through an inventory and you reach out for support, that is what changes everything. That is what changes everything.
Your Commitment (12:15):
So today, do this: take the emotional inventory that I just shared. Have the courage to reach out and share with somebody the one thing and the one thing, the pain and the gratitude, and then state your commitment. “I am committed to changing this one thing and I'm doing it for the thing I'm most grateful for,” and that is where you begin.
If this resonates with you, if you enjoyed this podcast, if you enjoyed this solocast, if you feel like you are a victim of intellectualization, go over to wellnessforce.com/team. At that place, you can begin your journey. You can reach out to me. You can work with me either one-on-one or in group, or you can simply just be supported at wellnessforce.com/group. Make this the day where you breathe, be at home in your body, and begin to walk a different path, a place that is peaceful and a place where there is power. Because power without peace cannot be trusted. But when you have peace, power can always be trusted. That is the kind of power that creates a life lived well. This is Josh Trent signing off. Have a beautiful day and take action from that place. You are loved, you are supported, and you are on the right path.
