6 Ways Spiritualism Can Help You Be A Great Entrepreneur

It’s no secret that entrepreneurs are under enormous stress to build their brands and ensure they remain successful and profitable.

While it’s true that they seek guidance and support through business networking and partnerships, another way they can gain the help they need is through spiritualism.

You might think that spiritualism isn’t something you’d typically associate with entrepreneurialism. But, it might surprise you to learn that it’s helped many well-known names in the business world. Take a look at the following six examples to learn more:

1. Zen Buddhism

Many successful entrepreneurs look to Zen Buddhism to help them achieve their business goals. Zen Buddhism focuses on attaining enlightenment through the direct experience of a person’s true nature. It places little emphasis on theoretical knowledge and textual study.

Steve Jobs, one of the co-founders of Apple, was deeply influenced by this form of spiritualism. His approach to product design is attributable to Zen Buddhism principles.

2. Meditation

It’s a well-known fact that meditation helps people to feel calm, relaxed, and clear their minds of thoughts that may cloud their judgement. Therefore, it’ll come as no surprise that meditation is one of the top ways to help entrepreneurs be highly successful.

For example, Arianna Huffington, the co-founder of The Huffington Post, is a strong advocate of meditation. In the past, she has spoken about how meditation helped with stress reduction and improved decision-making.

3. Psychic Insight

Spiritual guidance for entrepreneurs can manifest itself in many ways. One way that has proven itself to be of great benefit is psychic insight. There are two ways that people can consider psychic insight to help them be better entrepreneurs.

The first is through intuition or relying on one’s “gut feelings” – something cited by famous businesspeople like Richard Branson and
Warren Buffett.

The other is through an interest in the spiritual realm and the afterlife, and a notable name linked with this is Thomas Edison.
Edison wasn’t just a prolific inventor; he was also a businessman who founded what is now known as the General Electric company.

Edison was heavily interested in the afterlife, which partly influenced his success at the time.

Nowadays, psychic readings for entrepreneurs are common for people in business who want to consider views from all realms – not just the material one – to guide them in significant decision-making.

4. Yoga

Yoga comprises a series of physical posture and deep breathing techniques to help relieve stress and improve physical and mental health. Entrepreneurs such as Jeff Weiner, the former CEO of LinkedIn, and Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google, practice yoga regularly.

5. Tai Chi

Admittedly, tai chi isn’t a spiritual practice widely publicised by prominent entrepreneurs and thought leaders. However, it does get incorporated as part of a collection of wellness techniques by people like Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter (now known as “X”).

6. Mindful Consumption

Lastly, mindful consumption is an increasingly popular spiritualism concept used by today’s top entrepreneurs. It’s a way of helping people be more aware of how and what they consume in their lives and, in turn, be more ethical in business.

Examples of entrepreneurs who cite mindful consumption as part of their professional and personal success include Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Anita Roddick, the late founder of The Body Shop.
