Each year the machine just picks up more and more pace, more and more technology and it's like there's a great void in our hearts that came about when we first left our natural roots and the whole time we've been looking to fill that with things like a car or a job but it can never fill us up. We can never get enough of what we truly don't need. So, what is the antidote to desire? It's connection.” – Tim Corcoran

“A Vision Quest is the ultimate shedding of distractions – whether it's tents, warmth, or Facebook likes, those are the trappings of the ego. Those things are what brings us safety, security, and comfort which are all allusions of the ego. A Vision Quest is the intentional process of shifting one's identity from the place of the ego to the place of one's soul. For that to happen, the ego has to loosen its grip during this shedding process and that isn't comfortable. That's why it's important for people have this honest calling and a certain courage to do a Vision Quest because they have to be ready to let go of the things that keep them comfortable. You will get uncomfortable during the process but that is a healthy thing because we live in a culture that worships the ‘God of Comfort' and we lose our souls to it, maybe even our planet as a result.” – Tim Corcoran
