Josh Trent – Featured EP 100 Get In The Lab Podcast
In Josh’s words: “false evidence appearing real” essential we psyche ourselves out with our own BS.
“Fear is born in the EGO. The selfishness of us. We’re so worried about how we look, sound, act, etc. we forget it’s not about us.”
The reality is, you can’t control how people perceive you or how the outside world will react to you. None whatsoever. What you DO have control over is your own mind, body and spirit in how YOU will react, perceive and move on with your own actions.
“How will you show up in the world despite all that stuff?”
“Leaning into your edge”, and leaning into your fear – begets a person who is always growing, always evolving. Learning to talk to your fears does not erase fear, but uses it as a tool to increase your own awareness of being a better person.

Congrats on your 100th episode Megan!
Get In The Lab – 10 Benefits of Fear That You Aren't Utilizing
For our 100th episode on Get in the Lab we have a lot to be thankful for, namely my friends that took the time to create actionable advice via video and audio to show you lab rats how to move past fear.
That is this episode’s theme: FEAR.
It’s something we all deal with and without the benefits (that’s right, benefits) of fear we wouldn’t be here today. I want to show you lab rats, that fear is something that I used to let control my actions, and very often, you have or will too. Fear never goes away, it’s a daily thing, so here are many ways (via my friends) who move past fear on a daily basis and it’s all here for you to learn and execute from.
A very special thank you to Jared Easley, Anthony Tran, Josh Trent, and Navid Moazzez, the world for entrepreneurship is so much better with you in it.” -Megan Pangan

HERE’S JOSH’S 4 THINGS HE DOES TO BREAK THROUGH:
1. Plan 1 thing in your schedule every day that scares you. e.g. say hi to the neighbors, cold call someone, etc. to facilitate growth for yourself on a daily basis aka “edge practice”
2. Practice “box breathing” I watched this video by Mark Devine, I highly encourage you watch this
It’s a great way to ground your breath and get out of your head.
3. Execute this mantra: “It’s not about you” – this displaces the ego and gets you to place of service and helping others. This creates an
4. Structure your relationships and friendships in way that pushes you lean into your edge. Cut out the people that don’t serve that purpose.
“Do the thing, and you will have the power” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Meaning the moment you decide to do it the things that scare you, you’ve already generated the energy you need to achieve it.
