Dumbing Down Dad? Why Media Demonstrates Fathers As Useless | Jon Vroman

Jon is the founder of the Front Row Foundation, a charity established in 2005 that creates unforgettable moments for individuals who are braving life-threatening illnesses.

He’s also the founder of FrontRowDads.com, an international community of “Family men with businesses, not businessmen with families.”

Front Row Dads is a fascinating concept because in our society where most dads (myself included at times) catch themselves so focused on business, money, and goals that it's so easy to forget what all of that is for in the first place.

It's for family and friends and loved ones. We don't just provide. As men we protect and we give our radical presents to those that we love but, in order to do that, we have to have a certain type of inner game.

The Uncool Dad Stereotypes, Storytelling, And The Male Ego

Jon Vroman is a father of two energetic boys, Tiger and Ocean, and husband to wife Tatyana, living here in Austin, Texas. I've known him since 2015 and this was a really powerful glanced down memory lane to see how far both of us have come.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, there are some pretty deep emotions in this podcast, and if you are a dad struggling with balancing your family, business, and health or if you are a man who knows that he will become a father one day, you are going to get so much from this episode.

In this episode Jon shares learnings about how to understand the male ego and his personal journey to storytelling.

We'll also explore the uncool dad stereotype, why I believe that Hollywood has been infested by Wetiko, and what we can do about it.
